Anyone who knows anything about the late 1990’s to the early 2000’s knows about the iconic Jurassic Park series.
The very first Jurassic Park (1993) was one to remember, bringing extinct dinosaurs back to life. It all started with one mosquito in a chunk of amber. In the first movie, that was released in 1993, everything started off calm. The opening scene we meet Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) both of which are paleontologists. John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) the mastermind of Jurassic Park needed their opinions on the dinosaurs he had created.
So, the three of them flew to the island and were and we then meet Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum). In the beginning of the movie everything was fine, and the group even got to see some herbivores that would not hurt them in anyway. One of the dinosaurs that stood out was the Brontosaurus, or a long neck.

The movie continues and everything that could have gone wrong in an amusement park with dinosaurs goes wrong. That is right people, the electric fences keeping the dinosaurs away from the humans breaks. The adventure and thrill finally begins in the first movie! Jurassic Park is definitely a splash!
Do to the box office sales, a little over one billion dollars, Jurassic park was approved for a squeal. The next movie is “The Lost World” (1997), and almost all of the original charters came back. Honestly, when a sequel comes out and there is new people trying to act like the new ones it goes downhill.
“I like how they would always have something new popping up to keep you interested.” Said Derek Hall.
But, with the second movie, although it did not have as much of a breakout box office day, was still one for the books. A lot of people seem to think that the reason the second movie did not do as good as the first was because a fan favorite, Alan Grant was not in the second movie.
However, there is still a lot of adventure and dinosaurs in the movie. In this one Ian Malcolm is forced to go back to an island where dinosaurs were being hidden. Why you ask? His girlfriend decided to go on her own free will to take some candid shots. Just a typical photo shoot for her!
At the box office this movie made a little over 600 million, not as good as the first one. But to be honest after seeing the first one, it was hard for the second one to get the same kind of revenue.
“The Jurassic Park movies are the best, they are iconic. I am pretty sure that everyone has seen them. If they haven’t they need to!” Said Zoe Bonipahnt.
However, people still enjoyed the movie enough for the Jurassic Park Series to get approved for a third movie. “Jurassic Park 3″(2001) was the movie that but everything off for a while. The movie did not make as much as the other two in the box office, only a little over 350 million dollars.
This movie, although it featured Alan Grant, was the worst of the three, and everything in the movie seemed to drag on. Jurassic Park three is one of the movies that you can watch once to say you watched it and never watch it again. (Even though I can recite all of the words to all of these movies, Thanks Parker!)
The plot of the movie seems to keep going on, however the graphics are okay and for it being the third movie in series, which is almost never good, it was good enough.
For a little over 14 years, and then Jurassic World came out. After all of the silence every one was going crazy over this movie. After “Jurassic World” (2015) came out everyone knew about the Jurassic Park series. Even though there were new characters it was still amazing.
The graphics for this movie were amazing, and everyone seemed to love the movie. With plot twists everywhere and new never seen before dinosaurs making an appearance the movie pulled in a whopping 1.6 Billion dollars at the box office. The movie did so good that they were even approved for a second movie!

The second Jurassic World is set to air in 2018, and little of the movie has been shared through social media. The second movie is supposed to have the same actors as Jurassic World form the little bit of things I have seen. I know that this movie is doing the break the box office, because a lot of people are excited to see what is going to be the fifth movie in the iconic series.
